| Abstract | Tinea capitis is one of the most common superficial fungal infections in children. A case of a ten-year-old boy with a superficial fungal scalp infection caused by Microsporum canis is presented. The authors discuss the clinical characteristics, differential diagnosis and possible consequences of tinea capitis, and review the treatment possibilities. | |
