Abstract     After infections, malignancies are the second leading cause of death in children with primary (hereditary) immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs). Virtually all parts of the immune system have the potential to contribute to the eradication of tumour cells. This complex process comprises orchestrated acrivities of the effectors of innate and acquired immunity in children with PIDs. The patterns of tumour prevalence differ significantly from those seen in the general paediatric population. Non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) or B-cell-origin lymphoproliferative disorders (BLPDs) are the predominant tumours in PIDs. Collaboration between different centres and types of registries will be of paramount importance for further progress in the field of oncology in PIDs.
