Abstract		Non-compaction of the ventricular myocardium is a rare congenital disorder of endomyocardial morphogenesis that results in multiple trabeculations in the left and/or right ventricular myocardium. It is diagnosed both in childhood and adulthood. The diagnosis of non-compaction cardiomyopathy is often overlooked, usually due to ignorance of the condition. Echocardiography is considered as the reference standard for The diagnosis. The prognosis is poor for patients with impaired left ventricular function and treatment options are very limited.
