Abstract		Allergic contact dermatitis to plants is a significant problem worldwide. Plant life is exceedingly diverse, with much geographical seasonal variations, and consequently the range of reported allergens is huge. The incidence and prevalence of plant allergy as whole are not known vary from country depending on the local flora and population's way of life. Contact dermatitis to plants can mimic almost any other form of contact dermatitis and it makes diagnosis difficult. Even when it is suspected, the identificationof the plant implicated can be very difficult. In many cases the lack of appropriate purified allergens does not make possible the confirmation. In this article some main plant families and allergens causing allergic contact dermatitis, patch test procedure and epidemiological data arepresented. Our patch test results in the 8 years period (2000-2007) to primin and sesquiterpene lactone mix are also presented.
Summary		Alergijski kontaktni dermatitis zaradi rastlin je pomemben problem po celem svetu. Rastlinski svet je izjemno raznovrsten, z veliko zemljepisnih in sezonskih variacij in je zaradi tega tudi seznam alergenov zelo obsežen. Incidenca in prevalenca alergije za rastline v celoti nista znani ter se spreminjata od države do države, odvisno od krajevnega rastlinstva in življenjskih navad prebivalstva. Kontaktni dermatitis zaradi rastlin lahko posnema skoraj vse druge oblike kontaktnega dermatitisa, kar otežuje diagnostiko. Celo takrat, ko nanj posumimo, je identifikacija rastline zelo težavna. Zaradi pomanjkanja prečiščenih alergenov je pogostokrat tudi neizvedljiva. V tem prispevku so predstavljene nekatere rastlinske družine in alergeni, ki najpogostejše povzročajo alergijski kontaktni dermatitis, postopek krpičnega testiranja in epidemiološki podatki. Prikazali smo tudi naše podatke epikutanega testiranja na primin in zmes seskviterpenskih laktonov v osemletnem obdobju (2000-2007).
