Abstract     Physical culture with its creative, locomotive expressibility renders possible the enforcement and confirmation of human personality. But beside its positive influence also negative influences can arise, the consequences of which are various injuries. Injuries are caused by many agents, but we concentrated only on the mechanic causes of injuries. We can find reasons for injuries in sportsmen themselves (fatigue, not enough warmup, insufficient mastering of certain mobement) and in bad filed and atmospheric conditions. Injuries can be bigger or lesser, depending on the way of injurying. Microtraumas damage the connective tissue, when repeated they can lead to macrotraumas with more severe consequences. We detect the most injuries among the young in 12, 14 and 15 year of age. They are first of all result of development, growth and puberty. In adults we trace them in all the age groups, 5-15 percent of all the arising injuries are the consequences of sport activities.
