Abstract     Our classification of drugs with the effects on psychophysical features distinguishes two groups: - drugs the use of which entails an absolute prohibition of conducting motor-vehicles and machines, - drugs the use of which entails relative prohibition of conducting motor-vehicles and machines. As trigonik are mainly considered the drugs from some of the subgroups of the pharmacodynamic group PG 07 - the drugs used in the case of psychotic disorders, of the pharmacodynamic group PG 08 - the drugs with the effect on the nervous system and of pharmacodynamic group PG 05 - the drugs with the effect on metabolism and nutrition. Tranquilisers account for 60 percent of the prescribed issued drugs on prescriptions from some of the subgroup of the above mentioned pharmacodynamic groups. On average, one prescription for a tranquiliser per every third inhabitant of Slovenia in prescribed yearly. The comparison of prescribing of the drugs with the effect on psychophysical features of the age group above 20 years between the sexes shows that these drugs are two times more frequently prescribed to women then to men. The greates difference in the frequency of prescribing the drugs has been found in the age group 20 to 60 years, which accounts for the largest number of active drivers.
