Abstract     The aim of the study: The aim of study was to find out clinical and urodynamic effects of the anal maximal electrical stimulation (MES) on idiopathic unstable bladder in children. Patients and methods: 93 girls, average age 9,7 years (5 -17 years), with idiopathic unstable bladder and various clinical troubles were treated with anal MES. 73 girls had nocturnal and/or diurnal enuresis and 39 recidivant urinary tract infection. In 18 girls 22 vesicoureteral refluxes (VUR) were discovered. 21 girls (6 -14 years), average age 9,3 years with idiopathic unstable bladder served as control group. All girls had nocturnal and/or diurnal enuresis and 6 recidivant urinary tract infection. Before the treatment a clinical urological and neurological examination was made and a specimen of urine was examined. An organic cause of the enuresis was excluded with an ultrasound of the urinary tract, cystography and cystoscopy. Urodynamic measurements (urethral pressure profile, cystometry and "pressureflow ') were performed on apparatus Lectromed 5000. Before and after the treatment 77 girls (60 in stimulated and 17 in control group) made their own micturition chart. They noted down the number of nocturnal and/or diurnal enuresis in one month and the average number of miction a day. 93 girls were stimulated 20 minutes a day from 1 to 3 months with electric
