Abstract		Improvement of oral health and quality of life is the main gaal of the modern de ntis try. Contemporary concept of the "Oral health-related quality of life" (OHRQOL) has become the important factor of the oral disease impact assessment, as well as in evaluation of the professional interventions. This opens new opportunities in cJinical work, research and education. Oral health-rela ted quality of life has been assessed by the standardized questionnaires that collect data not only about oral health status, but also about other oral health dimensions that affect quality of life. Since OHIP questionnaire is worldwide accepted and has a good measuring characteristics, it has be en translated into the Croatian language and has been used in oral health-rela ted quality of life studies to assess the type of therapy and its success.
