Abstract     The frequency of nvnor congenital anomalies (MC,A) in children with spastic (CP) cerebral palsy was studied. The presence of MCA was stated by close inspection and partially with anthropologic measurements. Statistical analvsis proved there was signifcant difference between case and control group. Children with spastic CP had more MCA than controls. Median of number of MCA was 4 in case group and 0 in control group. In the majority of spastic children the presence of multiple MCA was stated. Sixty percents of them had at least four. In the control group nobody had so many MCA. Children with spastic hemiparesis, diplegia and tetraparesis were compared between each other. SigniFcant difference in frequency of MCA was find among them. The median number of MCA in hemiparetic subč-oup was 3.5 in diplegic subgroup 3 and in tetraplegic subgroup 6. This tmding suggests, that different pathogenetic mechanisms were taking part in onset of CP in threc subč-oups. Systemati searching for presence of multiple MCA. as nne iitč risk factors, in every newborn infant could be beneficial in selecting children at risk for CP. We intend tn čiscertain thc usefulness of such sereening with a prospective study.
