Abstract     The article reports on the evaluation of viscoelastic properties in gelatine hydrogels utilizing a lately introduced rheometric nondestructive oscillation method. The experiments were carried out with small sheering deformations (gamma) and were performed by measuring the shearing force (tau). The elastic (G') and plastic (G") module loss factor (tan delta), and the total shearing module (/G/) were determined as a function of deformation (amplitude-sweep) or frequency (frequencesweep). It was shown that all measuring procedures required an adequate measuring system, the determination of the optimal area of linearity at a given deformation and a frequency interval in which the system is responding. The magnitude of the gelatine hydrogels dynamic parameters was essentially dependent upon the gelatine concentration. A common feature among them was the prevalence of elasticity. On the base of the obtained results it was concluded that the contribution of the viscous module (G") was about 8 per cent and that of the elastic module 92 per cent when deformation was 0.6.
