Abstract		Theoretical Background: On the market appeared portable ECG monitor - Omron HCG-801. Like at any new technology we expect initial problems and many issuesregarding handling and diagnostic use of the apparatus. Purpose:To identify the key interactions in the triangle: patient - nurse - apparatus; and to investigate the diagnostic field. Methods: A systematic review of literature in the database and pilot study on 15 residents in Littoral Nursing Home Koper. Results: The results show us many useful areas of the transmission ECG apparatus and the ease of use for nurses and residents in Nurssing Home Koper. Conclusion: The technology represents a welcome addition to the diagnostic methods in the Nursing Homes, particularly with theuse of telemedicinskih applications.
Summary		Teoretična izhodišca: Na tržišču je opaziti prenosni EKG monitor - Omron HCG-801. Kot pri vsaki novi tehnologiji, tudi tukaj pričakujemo začetne težavein mnoga vprašanja glede samega rokovanja z aparatom, ter njegovo diagnostično uporabo. Cilj: Ugotoviti ključne interakcije v trikotniku: bolnik - medicinska sestra - aparat in raziskati uporabna diagnostična področja. Metode: Sistematični pregled literature v podatkovnih bazah in pilotska študija na 15 starostnikih v Domu upokojencev Koper. Rezultati: Rezultati prikazujejo mnoga uporabna področja prenosnega EKG aparata in enostavnost uporabe tako za medicinske sestre kot stanovalce Doma upokojencev Koper. Razprava: Tehnologija predstavlja dobrodošel dodatek k diagnostičnim metodam v domovih starostnikov, še posebej z uporabo telemedicinskih aplikacij.
