Abstract     The significance of electrical stimulation of ankle plantar flexors during FES assisted walking of SCI subjects was evaluated. The dynamic (floor reaction forces) and kinematic (ankle and hip joint trajectories) data were assessed in complete and incomplete SCI patients. The interplay of kinematic and dynamic parameters was described by mathematical model. Significant effect of FES on pushoff and roll-off events in the terminal phase of gait cycle was specially found in incomplete SCI subjects.
