Abstract     Since 2002, an autecological/conservation study of the Whinchat Saxicola rubetra has been carried out at Ljubljansko barje (Central Slovenia). Its main objectives were to explain demographic processes of the selected population, to analyze population viability, to evaluate the impacts of farming practices on the population, and to prepare conservation measures for the species in the area. The analysis of the population dynamics, especially through annual survival, immigration and emigration, was based upon individual colour ringing and reobservation history of marked birds. So far, 243 adult Whinchats have been marked with individual combinations of colour rings. Besides, 397 chicks have been marked in their nests with year specific combination of colour rings. This is the biggest capture-recapture sample for the Whinchat so far.
Summary     Na Ljubljanskem barju poteka od (eta 2002 avtekološko/varstvena raziskava repaljščice Saxicola rubetra. Glavni cilji so pojasnitev demografskih procesov izbrane populacije, analiza njene viabilnosti, pojasnitev vpliva različnih kmetijskih praks na populacijo in priprava vastvenih ukrepov za vrsto. Raziskava populacijske dinamike, posebej preživetja, priseljevanja in odseljevanja, temelji na individualnem označevanju z barvnimi obročki in sledenju kasnejšega pojavljanja. Z individualnimi kombinacijami barvnih obročkov je bilo doslej označenih 243 odraslih repaljščic, z letno specifičnimi barvnimi kombinacijami pa 397 mladičev v gnezdih. Vzorec označenih repaljščic je največji med podobnimi raziskavami.
