| Abstract | Follow-up of communicable diseases is a continuous process. Under observation are: prevalence, characteristics, forms and ways of occurence and spreading of diseases. Follow-up comprises systematic data gathering and analysing of the diseased and deceased of communicable diseases, data obtained with investigation and clarification of epidemics and individual rases of disease and data concerning performed measures for preventing the occurence and spreading of the disease. Mentioned data are collected by departments for epidemiology at the Institutes for health protection and at the Institute o fpublic health. Estimation of the situation depends upon the analysis of data collected with following-up of the occurence of communicable diseases. Their epidemiology and the knowledge of their characteristics. The report comprises data concerning frequency and prevalence of communicable diseases and the estimalion of the situation together with proposals for its improvement and for the preparation of plans for preventive measures and health protection of Slovenian population. | |
