Abstract		This article presents a theoretical starting point for restructuring of heath centres in Slovenia. The new health centre should maintain its mission and the basic principles, and would be upgraded with the new contents brought aboutby modern society. Health centres would become a modern integrated social-medical center, in accordance with the guidelines of the new center for health promotion, with emphasis on selfpreventative health concerns.
Summary		Članek predstavlja teoretična izhodišča za posodobitev zdravstvenih domov v Sloveniji. Novi zdravstveni dom naj bi ohranil svoje poslanstvo in osnovna izhodišča, nadgradili pa bi ga z novimi vsebinami, ki jih prinaša moderna družba. Zdravstveni dom naj bi postal sodobni integrirani socialnomedicinski center, v skladu z novimi usmeritvami center za promocijo zdravja s poudarkom na preventivi skrbi za zdravje.
