| Abstract | Prevalence of hypertension is high in developed world as well as in Slovenia. Data show that 31 % of patients treated with antihypertensive drugs reach the goal blood pressure. There are no clear data about prevalence of resistant hypertension, it is around 10%. Phisicians need to recognize the patients with resistant hypertension. After diagnosing possible secondary hypertension it is important to treat patients properly. Diagnostic procedures and treatment is described. | |
