Abstract     Tooth wear is divided into four groups: attrition, abrasion, erosion and abfraction. It occurs in all age groups. It has been increasing in prevalence, and is becoming more and more common al so in young people. Systematic classification of the degree of tooth wear is made possible by various indices, the most commonly used being the Lytle index. The type of treatment depends on the level of loss of hard tooth tissues. In the early phases of tooth wear, composites are used for restoring the lost tooth substance. In advanced forms, indirect techniques are utilized. Significant losses of tooth substance require extensive fixed prosthodontic rehabilitation. This article presents the treatment of a patient with severe tooth wear. In the preparation procedures, we increased the vertical dimension of occlusion with provisionals. For the final aesthetic treatment, adhesive cementing of ceramic onlays was used on all lateral teeth, ceramic veneers were applied to lower incisors and canines, and full ceramic crowns were placed on upper incisors.
