Abstract     Headache is a very important symptom in the chapter of cerebrovascular diseases, either ischemic, hemorrhagic or inflammatory. Since il can herald potenlially dangerous events, its presence should not be overlooked: besides its "de novo" appearance, the main aspects that should raise suspicion and prompt appropriate investigation in a patient already suftering of recurrent headache are its modification (e.g. quality or location), circumstances (e.g. strain), presence of systemic disease (e.g. hypertension), and occurrence ot neurologic signs.
