Abstract		Lek's special library uses several information sources for gathering information: it's own document and nondocument sources, on-line and on-disc databases. Information is used for R&D purposes as well as for business decisions. Information specialist is responsible for quality of information. Our experiences with on-disc searching has led us to find out some negative factors that are essential for reliable on-disc searching and they can be included in three groups: some imperfections in software of on-disk databases, some imperfections in data structuring and impossibility to include all aspects of primary literature contents to a database. We have realised that on-disc searching allows to avoid these factors by deep searching and reviewing all results. It takes more time but it is necessary for providing a reliable information.
