| Abstract | Starting-points. Sports medicine deals - together with medicine of work and school medicine - with evaluation of a total organism reaction to a certain work resp. burdening. All the greater burdenings and demands to which young sportsmen - pupils, school-children and students - are exposed on sports polygons present also a certain risk for their health and thus condition a continuing follow-up of their health state. Conclusions. With the help of preliminary; periodic, aimed and other preventive health examinations we in time discover and prevent health impairments conditioned with sport activity. Sports medicine deals also with treatment of sport injuries and impairments, target health education, checking of functional abilities, especially of cardio-pulmonary and locomotor system, etc. | |
