Abstract		Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) is a relatively rare systemic vasculitis affecting small vessels. It's representative for the involvement of upper and lower airways accompanying the disease process on kidneys, but it can essentially spread to any bodily tissue and organ. The following article presents a case study of a patient with WG, which has not been diagnosed at the time of his admission to the hospital. An acute worsening of the disease occurred, predominantly affecting the heart. An acute pancarditis with severe aortic valve regurgitation evolved, presenting with the need for surgical aortic valve replacement. According to various data from the literature WG affect the heart more often than it has been known so far, which implies a need for active clinical screening even for covert signs and symptoms of heart disease among patients with WG.
Summary		Wegenerjeva granulomatoza (WG) je relativno redek sistemski vaskulitis malih žil. Zanjo je značilna predvsem prizadetost zgornjih in spodnjih dihal ter ledvic, a lahko prizadene praktično katerokoli telesno tkivo ali organ. V pričujočem prispevku je predstavljen bolnik, pri katerem je prišlo do akutnega poslabšanja WG, ki do tedaj še ni bila odkrita in se je izrazila predvsem s prizadetostjo srca. Razvil se je akutni pankarditis s hudo aortno regurgitacijo, ki je zahtevala kirurško zamenjavo zaklopke. Po nekaterih podatkih iz literature WG pogosteje prizadene srce, kot je bilo znano doslej, kar daje pomen usmerjeni anamnezi in kliničnem pregledu za iskanje prikritih simptomov in znakov srčne bolezni pri bolnikih z WG.
