Abstract		Infection at the time of delivery is rare but may cause serious damage and even death of newborn. In the article some facts about important pathogens are presented and guidelines for management of pregnant woman and her baby are shown. Serious infections of newborn can be prevented with adequate preventive measures.
Summary		Okužbe novorojenca ob porodu so redke, vendar lahko povzročijo težko obolenje in celo smrt novorjenca. V prispevku so na kratko prikazani nekateri povzročitelji, ki lahko povzročijo okužbo otroka ob porodu, lahko pa tako okužbo preprečimo z ustreznimi preventivnimi ukrepi.
