Abstract     The method for measuring bioadhesive force was applied to evaluate bioadhesive properties of hydroxypropylcellulose and sodium carboxymethylcellulose films and microspheres. The guinea pig small intestine was used as mucosal tissue. The quantities of water needed for complete hidration of polymers and microspheres were also determined. Correlation with bioadhesion force for different samples of microspheres was performed, too. In addition the influence of different quantities of water used for hidration of polymers and microspheres on the bioadhesive strength was studied.
