Abstract		Contemporary pharmaceutical industry viewpoint with accentuation on manufacturing process automation and integration of "islands of automation" into the computer integrated manufacturing system is presented. There is a special accentuation on information flow between individual sections of industrial organisation and on principles of constructing electronic documentation system.
