Abstract     The glycation of structural proteins, like that of circulating proteins, leads of functional changes and ultimately to morphologically visible changes in tissue structures. From diagnostic point of view, circulating proteins are especially interesting for rutine diagnostic, because they are easily approachable from blood. Fructosamine is a common name from ketoamines produced by a non enzymatic reaction between glucose and serume proteins. The values of fructosamine show us metabolic state of diabetic patient in the past 2-3 weeks. Methods for evaluation of fructosamine levels are shown in this article and fructosamines diagnostic importance is discussed. We also show our results of parallel evaluation of fructosamine and glycated hemoglobin levels.
