Abstract		Clinical characteristics of cystic cervicomediastinal lymphangioma, diagnostic procedure and therapy in childhood are presented. An 18 month old girl with suspected solitary thyroid nodule lymphangioma extending from the mediastinum to the neck region was presented. The tumour was extirpated. There were no postoperative complications. The chance finding of a circumscribed mass on chest X-ray should raise the possibility of mediastinal lymphoma. Due to progressive expansion of lymphomas and complicated treatment in advanced cases, the importance of early diagnosis and surgical intervention is emphasised.
