Abstract     ln addition to the local anatomical conditions, the characteristics of prosthodontic treatment must be observed to achieve the ideal placement of dental implants.Treatment planning for im plant placement includes the following procedures: clinical examination, measurement of mucosal thickness, X-ray and computerized tomography, plaster casts, use of articulator, and diagnostic wax-up. Loss of teeth leads to reductions in alveolar ridge volume. The purpose of clinical examination, measurement of mucosal thickness, X-ray and computed tomography is to evaluate the type of alveolar bone loss (horizontal and/or vertical) and its extent (moderate or significant). The article describes the planning procedure and placement of dental implants in a patient with amoderate degree of alveolar bone loss. A surgical guide was used to transfer the planned position of implants from the study east to the patient's mouth. In the upper left canine region, the alveolar ridge was augmented using autologous bone, a heterologous bone substitute, and collagen membrane. After a healing period of eight months, porcelain-fused-tometal crowns were put in place.
