Abstract		The Canal Leader is a multifunctional endodontic contra-angle able to perform an entire endodontic treatment. When using the Canal Leader, root canal treatment without the additional use of hand files is possibie. Contra - angle performs helicoidal movement similar to manual preparation with Kerr and Hoedstrem files. The rotational (max. 30o) and stroke movements (0,4-0,8 mm) are controlled by the resistance and shape of the canall wall. Contra - angle operates at diffetent r.p.m. ranges. It has a step - down ratio of 4:1 and operates at 20.000 r.p.m. when used with the micromotor, i. e. 5.000 r.p.m. or 50a/o of the max. motor power.
