Abstract		The last guidelines for the management of children after proven urinary tract infection (UTI) and those in when urinary tract anomalies are suspected to other reasons were published in Slovenia in 2008. An updated algorithm for the evaluation of children after proven UTI was published at the end of 2011 and, in this review, an updated algorithm for the evalution of those children in whom urinary tract anomalies are suspected due to reasons other than UTI is presented. The proposed evalution of neonates with suspected urinary tract anomalies is presented, including one of the possible classification of antenatal hydronephrosis (ANH) and proposed recommendations for prenatal investigation. In this subsection the authors conclude with recommendations for the evalution of neonates with ANH or hydronephrosis detected after birth. Two more sections are then presented on the evalution of children with a positive family histoty for urinary tract anomalies and the evaluation of children with the incidental finding of hydronephrosis on ultrasound performed for reasons other than urinary tract complaints.
Summary		Zadnje smernice za obravnavo otrok po dokazani okužbi sečil in otrok, pri katerih iz drugih razlogov sumimo na prirojene napake sečil, so bile v slovenskem prostoru objavljene leta 2008. Konec leta 2011 smo že objavili novosti pri obravnavi otrok po dokazani okužbi sečil, tokrat pa predstavljamo novosti pri obravnavi otrok s sumom na prirojene napake sečil iz drugih razlogov kot zaradi okužbe sečil. V preglednem članku o novostih obravnave otrok, pri katerih sumimo na prirojene napake sečil, najprej predstavljamo obravnavo novorojencev s sumom na prirojene napake sečil. Predstavljamo tudi eno od možnih klasifikacij antenatalne hidronefroze (ANH) ter groba priporočila za obravnavo že med samo nosečnostjo. Podpoglavje zaključujemo s priporočili o obravnavi novorojencev, pri katerih smo že med nosečnostjo ugotovili ANH ali smo hidronefrozo odkrili/potrdili po rojstvu. Sledi podpoglavje o obravnavi otrok z obremenilno družinsko anamnezo za prirojene napake sečil ter na koncu še podpoglavje o obravnavi otrok z naključno odkritim patološkim ultrazvočnim izvidom sečil.
