Abstract     Michaelis and Menten found the direct mathematical analysis of invertase-catalyzed hydrolysis of sucrose (where formed products simultaneously isomerize) unrealistic 100 years ago, and hence, they avoided this problem by proper adaptation of their experiment. However, they assumed that highly complex mathematical functions might generate the time-courses of all reactants of this pioneering enzyme-catalyzedreaction, but this problem has not been solved since its original publication in 1913. Their classic work on invertase-reaction dynamics was recently revisited anew by using lH NMR spectroscopy, but despite Michaelis-Menten's visionariness on possible mathematical solutions that could describe the authentic; Le. uninterrupted, invertase-reaction system, none has faced this challenge for the last century. Hence, the c1osed-form solutions of genuine invertasereaction dynamics are now represented in this report.
