Abstract     V članku je prikazano izvajanje nenehnega izboljševanja kakovostne in varne obravnave pacientov in vpliv na izvajanje zdravstvene nege v Splošni bolnišnici Jesenice. Kakovostna in varna zdravstvena obravnava za posameznega pacienta mora biti prioriteta vsakega, ki dela v zdravstvu, ne glede na položaj ali poklicno skupino. Celotno osebje mora čutiti, da lahko sodeluje pri izboljševanju kakovosti in povečevanju varnosti pacientov pri svojem vsakodnevnem delu in da zagotavlja, da ne bo prihajalo do nepotrebnih odklonov, ki vplivajo na zdravje pacientov. V nadaljevanju so prikazana orodja za zagotavljanje kakovosti in varnosti v bolnišnici. Le s strateškim pristopom se lahko vzpostavi večja kakovost obravnave in varnosti pacientov, ki zahteva timski pristop in razumevanje uvajanja kakovosti s strani vseh, vključenih v tim, in ne le nekaterih posameznikov. Za vzpostavitev celovitega sistema kakovosti in varnosti je pomembno voditeljstvo, saj le tako lahko z izkazanim sodelovanjem pri izboljševanju kakovosti in varnosti zdravstvene obravnave omogočamo in pripravljamo podlage za izvajanje zdravstvene prakse na osnovi znanstvenih dokazov in vzdrževanjem kulture varnosti. Kultura varnosti temelji na pravičnosti in odgovornosti, sodelovanju s pacienti, velik je poudarek na izobraževanju in opolnomočenju osebja, postavimo si dogovorjene cilje kakovosti in varnosti z merili, poti sporočanja napak, učenje iz napak, ocenjevanjem tveganj in vpeljavo presoje zdravstvene prakse na različne načine.This article presents the introduction of continual improvement of quality safe treatment of patients and its impact on offering healthcare at the Jesenice General Hospital. Quality safe medical treatment of individual patients must be a priority for all involved in healthcare, regardless of their position or professional category. The entire staff must feel that it can work together to improve quality and increase patient safety in its everyday work, ensuring that deviations affecting patients health do not occur. The article examines the tools for hospital quality and safety assurance. It is impossible to establish improvement of quality and safety for patients without a strategic approach because the lack of such an approach means that introducing quality would be fragmented and borne by individuals. Leadership is important when establishing a comprehensive quality and safety system because only in this way, by demonstrating cooperation in improving healthcare quality and safety, is it possible to enable and prepare foundations for offering healthcare services based on the findings of research, maintenance of a culture of safety that is just, responsibility, patient cooperation, staff education and empowerment, agreed-upon quality and safety goals with criteria, including measurement of a culture of safety, routes for reporting errors, learning from errors, assessing risks, and introducing various ways of assessing healthcare practice.
