Abstract     As it has been proved by the pictures and the documents from the past centuries, the history of parcifier starts at least with the Middle Ages. More than 2500 forms filled in by mothers, show that more than 70 per cent babies are given a parcifier. Analyses shows that children who were given a parcifier to fall asleep, weren't sucking fingers, the result of which are the development of malocclusions and stimulation of breathing through the mouth. The theory of finger sucking was developed on the 24 hours long observation, which gave us essential starting points for prevention and therapy of bad habits. As sucking of parcifier can also cause the development of mallocclusion there was a need to develop a form of parcifier to prevent that. In two years testing time was proved that this parcifier with the characteristics we demanded, in comparison with others, is much better. The model was developed on the basis of ultrasonographic investigations and the measurings of the maximal opening of the mouth.
