Abstract     We investigated 210 three years old children in the years 1984 and 1994. We established that in the year 1984 48,58 per cent of investigated children had orthodontic anomalies, in the year 1994 we found 32,85 per cent of them. The difference is statisticaly significant, p less th. 0,01. Without bad oral habits there was 51,42 per cent of three years old children in the year 1984 and 57,14 in the year 1994. The difference was showen in the use of bottle, p less th. 0,05. 10 per cent less three years old children use bottle for feeding in the year 1994. Parcifier leaves consequences on hard and soft tissues if the child uses it until three years old. The education of parents, pediatricians and nurses is necessary, not to give the first parcifier to the child. The first day after the birth a high percentage of babies reject the parcifier. This is the critical moment not to inure the child to the parcifier. For deducing of orthodontic prevention and interceptive orthodontics we need to educate people who work with children as well as children's parents.
