Abstract | Three different parties take part in quality assurance process: doctors, patients, policy makers and funders. Quality assurance should be organized and managed on several levels: a central level, a local level, a practice level, and an individual level. International cooperation should stimulate implementation of quality care in daily practice. Quality assurance consists of systematic and continous activities performed in a cyclic process named quality circle: selection of relevant topics, creating guidelines, quality assessment, implementing changes and follow-up. Complexity of this subject could be the best described by framework for quality assurance. Management of quality assurance is the final point from wich to approach quality assurance. | |
