Abstract     Zaradi kroničnih obolenj, med katere sodi tudi zvišan krvni tlak, iz leta v leto umre več ljudi. Gledanje zabavnih vsebin je ena od učinkovitih metod spodbujanja smeha, ki posledično vpliva na vrednosti krvnega tlaka. Zato je bil namen raziskave ugotoviti, kako vodena vadba joge smeha vpliva na krvni tlak, srčni utrip, periferno oksigenacijo in počutje. Metode. V raziskavi so avtorji uporabili tehniko spodbujanja smeha, imenovano joga smeha, ki ni odvisna od razumevanja humorja, ampak vključuje dihalno-smejalne zabavne vaje, ki zelo hitro povzročijo smejanje. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 52 naključno izbranih prostovoljcev (4 moški in 48 žensk), njihova povprečna starost pa je bila 52,5 leta. Prostovoljci so bili na podlagi vprašalnika o zdravju razdeljeni na tiste, ki uživajo zdravila, in tiste, ki jih ne uživajo. Izvedene so meritve krvnega tlaka, srčnega utripa, periferne nasičenosti hemoglobina s kisikom pred in po vadbi, prostovoljci pa so sami ocenili svoje počutje z nestandardiziranim 9-stopenjskim numeričnim vprašalnikom, in to pred ter po vsaki vadbi. Raziskava je potekala v klubu joge smeha na 10 vadbah, ki so potekale enkrat na teden v letu 2012. Rezultati: Raziskava je pokazala, da vadba joge smeha pomembno vpliva na nivo krvnega tlaka pri tistih, ki ne uživajo zdravil (p < 0,05), pri tistih, ki jih uživajo, pa nismo zabeležili pomembnih sprememb. Pri meritvah srčnega utripa nismo dokazali bistvenih končnih sprememb pred in po vadbi. Ljudje, ki uživajo zdravila, so imeli pomembno nižjo periferno oksigenacijo pred vadbo v primerjavi s tistimi, ki jih ne uživajo, kar se je po vadbi izboljšalo. Zaključki: Joga smeha je lahko učinkovita dopolnilna metoda pri preventivi visokega krvnega tlaka pri tistih, ki še niso zboleli. Za druge je treba narediti nadaljnje raziskave na večjem vzorcu in proučiti vpliv zdravil. Za natančno periferno oksigenacijo pa je treba narediti plinsko analizo iz krvi. Pri vseh je bila zabeležena pozitivna sprememba počutja in znižanje občutka stresa po vadbi ter povečana zmožnost smejanja.Each year there are more and more people who die because of the chronic diseases, which include high blood pressure. Being exposed to entertainment is one of the effective methods of promoting laughter and consequently the laughter positively affects the blood pressure. Therefore, the purpose of research is to determine how laughter yoga affects the blood presure, heart rate, peripheral oxygenation, and well-being. Methods. The authors have used the technique to promote laughter, which is called laughter yoga and it does not depend on understanding of humour, but includes respiratory-laughing and fun exercises, which can very quickly lead to laughing. The study included 52 randomly selected volunteers (4 men and 48 women). Their average age was 52,5 years. Volunteers have been sorted in different groups according to a questionnaire. The classification has sorted the volunteers into those who take medicines and those who do not. The measurements of blood pressure, heart rate, peripheral oxygen saturation of haemoglobin have been performed before and after the training. Furthermore, the volunteers have evaluated their well-being according to the standardized 9-digit numerical questionnaire, both before andafter each session. The survey was carried out in laughter yoga club and was done in 10 exercise sessions, which were held once a week in 2012. Results. The research has shown that laughter yoga has a significant impact onblood pressure in those patients who do not take medicines (p<0.05). However,the survey did not show significant changes for those who take medicines. No significant final changes have been proved in measuring heart rate before and after the exercise. People who take medicines, had significantly lower peripheral oxygenation befor the exercise if we compare the results with those who do take medicines, but this has improved after the training. Conclusions. Laughter yoga is an effective complementary method for the prevention of high blood pressure for those who have not been diagnosed yet. For others, it is necessary to do further research on a larger sample and examine the influence of medicines. Gas analysis of blood should be performed for detailed peripheral oxygenation. Positive change in the sense of well-being and stress reduction and increased ability to laugh has been noted after the exercise.
