Abstract | Political changes in Slovenia have redifined the health care organization, including health informatics. In 1992, the former development and present status of health informatics were analysed and factors wich could affect health informatics were outlined. On this basis some main principles of further health informatics development have been defined. They include a greater responsibility of health care institutions for their information systems and define common standards and other elements of health informatics uniformity. In addition, a national programin health informatics has been proposed. | |
