Abstract		Biomedical technology is a new postgraduate program at Medical Faculty Maribor, which interdisciplinary connect natural-technical science with medicine. In the academic year 2005/6 first students were enrolled. Goal of doctoral study program is to deepen researching knowledge about new biomaterials, usage of the up-to-date information technologies, electronics, robotics, etc, as well as development of the modern technology accompanying fields. Study program is evaluated by European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and the program can be directly included in the international student exchange programme with the countries also applying ECTS. Apart from theoretical themes, lectures, seminars and laboratory work, syllabus also demands fundamental, applicative and developmental researching project tasks.
