Abstract | This paper describes development of a flexible measurement system in clinical neurophysiology based on the digitalized diagnostic equipment connected to computers and incorporated into a local network. The principal requirement has been to allow adifferent levels of data processing and analysis as well as a concomitant utilisation of different data bases and supporting software. At the simplest level, the basic sets, are used independently. At the second level, the different basic sets are connected to external computers, allowing signal processing, data storage and various displays. At the third level, the diagnostic sets are incorporated into a local network individually general purpose computer. The system allows great flexibility of operation, as well as further user defined development and modifications. | |
