Abstract     Izhodišča Živčevje nadzira kardiovaskularno in respiratorno funkcijo z namenom učinkovitega dovajanja kisika in odvajanja ogljikovega dioksida. Raziskali smo, ali lahko izvajamo monitoring integritete živčevja z neinvazivno metodo merjenja hemodinamičnih spremenljivk. Metode V eksperimentalno raziskavo smo vključili zdrave prostovoljce, kateri so izvajali Valsalva manever (VM), medtem ko smo jim neprekinjeno spremljali krvni tlak. VM smo izvajali v dveh položajih trupa (20⁰ in 45⁰) ter v krajšem (10 sekund) in daljšem trajanju (20 sekund). Rezultati Z neinvazivno metodo smo uspešno dobili vse štiri faze VM. V III fazi VM smo v položaju trupa nagnjenega za 20⁰ opazili nižje vrednosti frekvence srca (89/minuto) v primerjavi s položajem 45⁰ kjer je bila frekvenca višja (99/minuto). V odvisnosti od časa izvedbe manevra smo zaznali spremembe v tretji fazi Valsalva manevra pri sistoličnem, diastoličnem in srednjem arterijskem tlaku. Zaključki: V raziskavi smo ugotovili, da s sodobnim neinvazivnim monitoringom kardiovaskularne funkcije lahko zaznamo in interpretiramo hemodinamiko ob izvajanju VM.Introduction Cardiovascular and respiratory functions are tightly controlled by the nervous system whose goal is improving the efficiency of oxygen supply and discharge of carbon dioxide. In our study, we investigated whether we can monitor the integrity of the nervous system with a non-invasive method of measuring the hemodynamic variables. Methods The experimental study included healthy volunteers, which performed Valsalva manoeuvre (VM), while we continuously monitored their blood pressure. VM was carried out in two body positions (20 ⁰ and 45 ⁰) and in a short (10 seconds) and long duration (20 seconds). Results Non-invasive method provided us all four phases of VM. We found a decrease in heart rate (89 bpm) in phase III when having the body tilted for 20⁰ and an increase in heart rate (99 bmp) in phase III when tilting the body for 45⁰. There were some changes in phase III in systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure when performing Valsalva manoeuvre. Conclusions In this study, we found that modern non-invasive monitoring of cardiovascular function can detect significant findings when performing VM.
