Abstract		Special physical education is intended for handicapped and developmentally delayed pupils, which need physical activity even more than their healthy peers. Professional part is carried out by the teacher of special physical education in cooperation with school doctor and other school professionals. Pupils join exercise groups according to the medical indications. Activities are carried out in small groups. Diseases and disorders as well as their perception differ very much between pupils. Activities can not, therefore, be carried out in the same way for all. Only basic starting points are common, while in practice individual needs of every pupil should be taken into account.
