Abstract		41 pregnant adolescents were examined in order to asses the outcome of adolescent pregnancy and to find out whether such a pregnancy represents an important problem in the contemporary perinatology with regard to its course and outcome. Results were compared with a group of primigravidas older than 20 years. It can be stated that outcomes of adolescent pregnancy are satisfactory. But has there been done enough in the field of perinatal care, including preconceptional counselling? Pregnancy and childbirth before 18th year of age denote greater health risk for mother and infant. Besides, there are other unfavourable factors, e.g. continuing education, single parenting, financial dependence on parents...
