Abstract     Laparoscopic operations have been increasingly used to treat urologic malignancies. Prostate cancer is among the most common causes of death from cancer in men. Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) is well established surgical treatment method and one of the most frequently performed urological surgical procedures. From anaesthesiological point of view, laparoscopic operations, although minimally invasive, carry a distinct risk of complications. Increased intra-abdominal pressure and the systemic absorption of the insufflated gas are main reasons for changes during laparoscopic surgery and for some anaesthesiological complications. Patient' s position and the choise of insufflation's gas also influence on development of complications.
