Abstract		Knowledge of normal mandibular mobility is fundamental to understanding the function of a healthy stomatognathic system, evaluation of mandibular movements in various pathological conditions, and programming of articulators in full mouth rehabilitation. In this study, mandibular border and contact movements were evaluated in 39 young persons with an average age of 25.8 years. A computer-linked sirograthograph was employed. The authors report the average dimensions of mandibular border movements in the frontal and sagittal plane, pointing out the importance of certain dimensions. They provide both graphic and numerical presentation of the anterior guidance and discuss the relevance of the average values for proper adjustment of the incisal table of articulators.
