| Abstract | The paper describes a case of open bite associated with a lisp in a patient with amelogenesis imperfecta. With fixed prosthodontic treatment, the bite was lowered and optimal contact was established between the antagonist teeth. The treatment resulted in normal function and satisfactory cosmetic appearance, and provided protection for the affected teeth. Correction of the open bite also eliminated the speech defect. | |
