Abstract		In 18 patients, defects in the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus were reconstructed with the use of the titanium micromash system developed by Muehling. Postoperative evaluation revealed good functional and aesthetic results with no tendency to scarring in the reconstructed area. Histological and x-ray findings were within normal in 15 cases. In our modest clinical experience with this method, titanium micromash has proved a useful material, which is easy to handle and provides very satissfactory coverage of bony defects involving the anterior maxillary sinus wall or the orbital floor, produced by trauma or surgery.
