Abstract     Kot vse bolnišnične okužbe, so tudi črevesne vse hujši problem bolnišnično zdravljenih bolnikov. Potekajo lahko posamezno ali epidemično. Klice najpogosteje prenaša zdravstveno osebje z rokami, zato sta pri preprečevanju širjenja črevesnih okužb najpomembnejši poostrena higiena rok zaposlenih in kontaktna osamitev bolnika s črevesno okužbo. V zadnjih letih so v porastu okužbe s Clostridum difficile. Te okužbe potekajo z vse težjo klinično sliko, čedalje večja je tudi umrljivot okuženih.Likewise all hospital infections, intestinal ones also represent an increasingly severe problem. They can occur either sporadically or in form of epidemics. Hands of the healthcare personnel are the major route of bacterial transmission, and therefore strict hand hygiene of the personnel and contact isolation of the patient with intestinal infection are considered the most important measures of prevention of intestinal infection spread. In recent years infection with Clostridum difficile are on the increase. The clinical picture of these infections is becoming more and more severe and the associated mortality rates have been growing as well.
