Abstract		The author was interested in the most common urologic problems in adolescents. He analysed 247 patients, 12-18 years old, out of 6867 patients who were treated in 1993 at the Urological Clinic in Ljubljana. 168 (68 pct) adolescents underwent operation, endoscopic investigation were performed in 55 (22 pct) patients and urodynamic measurements in 24 (10 pct). 114 (46 pct) patients were operated because of the disease of external genitalia, 49 (20 pct) were treated for recurrent urinary tract infection, 33 (13 pct) had various disorders of micturition and 17 (7 pct) nephrolithiasis. Although urological diseases in adolescents are relatively rare (only 3.6 pct of all urological patients) diagnosis and prompt treatment are most important.
