Abstract		Weather conditions during July and August 1994 with their exceptionaly long heat period are described. Authors tried to connect simple indicators of thermal burdening with the number of death cases in Ljubljana communities. Since only a small share of deaths is connected with weather, it is statistically difficult to define some possible pattern. Death is often the consequence of the past biothermal burdening, and beside the thermal weather influence, the neurotropic one should also be considered. The group of cardiovascular patients was treated more in detail as it was expected to be more susceptible to weather influences. The course of death cases in Ljubljana communities in two summer months of 1994 is described together with the course of simple thermal burdening indicators. In the explanation of connection authors considered also the total burdening due to weather conditions, i.e. also the neurotropic influence.
Summary		V članku so opisane vremenske razmere v Sloveniji v juliju in avgustu 1994, to je v času, ko je pri nas trajalo nenavadno dolgo obdobje vročine. Preproste kazalce toplotne obremenitve smo poskusili povezati s številom smrtnih primerov v ljubljanskih občinah. Seveda je z vremenom povezan le majhen delež smrti, zato jim statistično težko določamo zakonitosti. Pogosto je smrt posledica že minule biotermalne obremenitve, upoštevati pa moramo tudi vpliv nevrotropnega vpliva vremena in ne samo toplotnih pogojev. Ker pričakujemo, da so za vremenske vplive najbolj dovzetni ljudje z boleznimi srca in ožilja, smo to skupino obravnavali bolj podrobno. Opisan je potek smrtnih primerov v ljubljanskih občinah v dveh poletnih mesecih leta 1994 in potek preprostih kazalcev toplotne obremenitve. Pri razlagi povezanosti smo upoštevali tudi celotno obremenitev zaradi vremenskih pogojev, torej tudi nevrotropni učinek.
