Abstract     Izhodišča: Ena od možnosti vadbe v vodi, ki so jo razvili prav za osebe z zmanjšanimi zmožnostmi gibanja in učenja, je vadba po konceptu Halliwick. Ker se otroci v tem programu učijo veščin plavanja preko igre in relativno počasi, smo želeli preveriti, ali bi pri učenju lahko uporabili učenje z uporabo kognitivnih strategij (angl. Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance, CO-OP). Metode: V študijo smo vključili otroke, ki so si v obdobju od marca 2017 do oktobra 2018 za cilj terapevtskega programa izbrali učenje plavanja. Vključili smo jih v program CO-OP, v okviru katerega smo jih učili splošnih strategij CO-OP ter jim pomagali poiskati specifične strategije za učenje plavanja. Izvedbo aktivnosti in zadovoljstvo z izvedbo smo ob začetku in zaključku 10-tedenskega programa ocenili s pomočjo Kanadskega testa izvajanja dejavnosti (COPM). Kakovost izvedbe smo ocenili z Lestvico za oceno kakovosti izvedbe (PQRS). Za opazovane spremenljivke smo izračunali opisne statistike. Rezultati: V študijo smo vključili pet deklic (povprečna starost 7,7 let), ki so v programu opravile povprečno 7,3 obravnav. Tri deklice so bile vključene v program zaradi razvojne motnje koordinacije, ena deklica zaradi mielomeningogele s parezo spodnjih udov, ena deklica zaradi Sturge-Weberjevega sindroma. Do zaključka obravnave so tri deklice osvojile povsem samostojno plavanje, ena je zaradi varnosti pri plavanju še uporabljala pripomoček (črva), ena je imela pri plavanju še težave. V povprečju so dosegle pomembno višje rezultate povprečne ocene izvedbe (COPM začetna 2,3, končna 7,8) in zadovoljstva z izvedbo plavanja (COPM začetna 3,4, končna 9,2). Pomembno se je izboljšala tudi kakovost izvedbe (PQRS začetna 3,2, končna 7,3). Zaključek: Rezultati kažejo, da bi bil koncept učenja kognitivnih strategij kot del učenja plavanja po konceptu Halliwick lahko učinkovit, tako da bi bilo učenje hitrejše in usmerjeno v jasen cilj.Background: One of the water activity options that have been developed specifically for people with impaired mobility and learning abilities is the Halliwick-based swimming program. As children learn to swim through play activities, they progress relatively slowly. Thus, we wanted to check whether we could use the Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach in Halliwick base swimming program. Methods: We included children who chose swimming as a therapy goal in the period from March 2017 to October 2018. They were referred to the CO-OP program to teach them general CO-OP strategies and help them find specific strategies for independent swimming. At the beginning and the end of the 10-week program, performance and satisfaction were assessed using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). Performance was evaluated using the Performance Quality Rating Scale (PQRS). Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. Results: We included five girls (mean age 7.7 years) who received an average of 7.3 treatments in the program. Three girls were enrolled in the program because of a developmental coordination disorder, one girl due to spina bifida with paraparesis, one girl due to Sturge-Weber syndrome. By the end of the program, three girls had achieved independent swimming, one was still using a worm for swimming safety, and one was still having some problems. On average, they achieved significantly higher mean scores in performance (COPM initial 2.3, final 7.8) and satisfaction with performance (COPM initial 3.4, final 9.2). The quality of the performance also significantly improved (PQRS initial 3.2, final 7.3). Conclusion: The results show that the Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance as part of the Halliwick-concept-based swimming program could be effective so that learning is faster and focused on a clear goal.
