Abstract | Forensic medicine is a medical science having specific functions of special interest, particularly in the case of natural disasters. In those cases it has to carry out certain tasks which are not within the range of its everyday activity and actually highly surpass its basic functions. These special tasks are mainly gathering, identification, transportation and inhumation of corpses. In the case of earthquake, being undoubtedly a specific sort of catastrophe, it has to deal with mass-destruction and multitude of corpses which are often difficult to access. | |
